Sinead Mooney

Sinead is a local resident, having lived in the Borough of Spelthorne since 2004. She is married with 2 children, both of whom have received excellent educations from schools in the Borough. Sinead is an interim Housing Professional, previously working as a Head of Housing Services for a housing charity. Prior to this Sinead spent 16 years working in the housing departments at Hounslow and Hillingdon Councils.

A local activist for many years, Sinead was the chairman of a local youth charity, Staines and Egham Sea Cadets and committee member for Ashford North Residents Association. She is also an active supporter of the local campaign to include Staines railway station in the zone 6 pricing scheme.

Sinead has played a leading role in a number of local projects and community improvement programmes. Sinead has developed a keen knowledge of local issues, having served 5 years as a committee member for a residents Association.

Sinead was a Spelthorne Borough Councillor since May 2015 to May 2023 and has been a County Councillor since May 2017.
